Major Internet Failure Affects Many Websites and Mobile Apps
An extensive internet disruption has affected numerous websites and applications worldwide, with users noting problems connecting to the web following issues at Amazon’s online infrastructure service.
The disrupted platforms comprise the social media app Snapchat, Roblox, Signal, and the language learning app Duolingo, along with multiple Amazon-owned services like its primary shopping site and the Ring security doorbell company.
Throughout Britain, Lloyds bank was affected in addition to its subsidiaries Halifax and Bank of Scotland, with additional accounts of problems reaching the the tax authority online portal on that morning. Also in the UK, several Ring users took to networks to state their home gadgets were failing.
Just within Britain, reports of problems on individual applications reached the thousands for each app.
